Commodore PET 8096SK
The PET has a special place in the history of micro-computers, as it was one of the biggest sellers in the 1979 /1980 period, when computers were aimed at both the home and business market. Many people recognise the PET due to it's unique styling.
This was the end of line for the Commodore PET. Clearly the best looking computer ever made, its round chassis was designed by Porsche Design!
The Commodore CBM 8096-SK was a 1980 computer system with a monitor, keyboard, internal power-supply. The 8096 SK is an example of the second generation of cbm/pet computers from Commodore. In stead of sheet-metal this series is made of plastic. There is much more attention for the look of the computer.
The 80 in the model number stands for 80 columns of text on the screen and the 96 stands for 96 kbyte RAM memory. The SK stands for Separate Keyboard.
