Motorola 8000s - The Original Brick Mobile Phone
The worlds first mobile phone was the Motorola DynaTAC 8000x and went on sale in 1983 in the USA for $3995. However, besides the high price point, what we know know as the 'brick' mobile phone was an immediate success.
The Motorola DynaTAC 8000x went on sale in the UK on 1st January 1985 and was followed in the in 1986 by the 8000s which is the phone we have available to hire.
