Sinclair X1 - Button Radio
In June 1997 Sinclair Research launched the X1 Button Radio.
It was a tiny FM earpiece radio costing £9.50 and was advertised as being the smallest in the world at that time.
Being just the size of a 10 pence piece, the tiny automatic tuning control was reported to be difficult to use.
Sadly, the Sinclair X1 Radio was not a huge seller. It proved to be no match for the MP3 players that would follow a year later ...
