Trim Telephone
With the number of customers growing the UK market finally recognised the telephone handset, not just as an everyday utility item, but as a design object.
The Trimphone started life in 1964 as the Telephone No. 712 and was designed by Martyn Rowlands.
The popular styling has seen these phones appear in TV programmes like 'Life on Mars', which was set in 1973, and recently on 'Margaret'.
