Sony Discman D-170AN Personal CD Player
The personal CD player was launched in 1984 by
Sony. Their Discman allowed the new digital Compact Disc to go mobile
just 2 years after CDs were developed.
Later CD
walkmans would be much more slimline and include digital memory that
would prevent skipping when the player was knocked.
